Annamalai (Lord Shiva) and Unnamalai (Goddess Parvati) are the presiding deities of the famous Arunachaleshwar Temple in Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of the sacred mountain itself as Annamalaiyar (Arunachaleshwar), while his consort, Unnamalai Amman, represents the divine energy (Shakti).
